Savoca

Savoca is settled on a double-picked hill ar 300 metres a.s.l. and from that hill it overlooks al the surrounding area. It preserves in its territory ruins of Middle ages, Renaissance and Baroque style. It’s famous to have been chosen for a lot of successfully italian and international movies, above all The Godfather of Francis Ford Coppola filmed in 1972. From 2008 Savoca is included in the ‘Borghi più Belli d’Italia’ (most beautiful villages in Italy) award.
