The ancient Naxos was the first Greek colony in Sicily. Now, from that little settlement has grown the town of Giardini Naxos.
The thousand-year old story of Giardini Naxos is gathered in the archaeological museum and the park in which is possible to visit the ruins of the old Naxos such as sections of the walls, houses and the foundation of a big temple. Of course, we can’t forget the medieval castle of Schisò, built in the late-middle ages.
